Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces” Self Love Through a Lens
Creating an experience, not just taking a photo. Helping to bring out confidence and capturing the essence of who you are. #confidence #photography #beauty
As a photographer, I have always been drawn to the idea of “finding beauty in negative spaces”. To me, this means looking beyond the obvious and seeing the beauty in the unexpected. And this is something I try to do not just in my photography, but also in my interactions with others.
One of the things I love most about photography is the opportunity to bring out the beauty in others that they often miss in themselves. I have had many clients come to me feeling self-conscious and unsure of themselves, but through the lens of my camera, I can show them a different perspective. I can capture them in a way that highlights their unique features and brings out their inner beauty.
One client in particular stands out in my mind. She was a single mother in her thirties, working full-time to provide for her family. She had little time for herself and often felt drained and exhausted. When she came to me for a photo shoot, she was hesitant and nervous. But as we began to work together, I could see her start to relax and open up.
Through the lens of my camera, I was able to create a story about this woman who was foreign to herself. I captured her in a way that showed her strength, determination, and beauty. I used light and shadow to accentuate her features and bring out her natural beauty. And when she saw the final images, she was shocked and amazed. She told me that she had never seen herself like that before, and it was a transformative experience for her.
That’s the power of photography, the power to change the way we see ourselves and the world around us. And that’s what I strive for in my work, to find the beauty in negative spaces and bring it to light. And that’s what I want to do for everyone who comes to me for a photo shoot, to bring out the beauty they often miss in themselves, and help them to see themselves in a new way. That’s what photography is all about, finding beauty in the unexpected and creating a story that might be foreign to ourselves.
